What's the difference between a Specially Adapted Home and an accessible home?

Specially Adapted Homes | Accessible Home Builders

The Department of Veteran Affairs offers housing grants to qualified veterans.

Specially Adapted Housing (SAH) grants are available for veterans or servicemembers who meet qualification standards.

Specially Adapted Housing for Veterans

A Specially Adapted Housing benefit can be used for qualified veterans or servicemembers who require a home designed specifically to meet their needs:

It must be medically feasible for the veteran or servicemember to reside in the home.

The home must be adapted to the veteran or servicemember's needs.
