Really good, basic advice.  These are all things I look for when I'm buying a home, and would advise anyone the same way.  I really like your good, simple advice.  Many buyers need this!

David - Natural light can be a big benefit.  But depending on the climate and the location of the home, too many windows CAN increase energy bills - heat and cold travels through glass much more easily than through walls!

Penny, what excellent suggestions on what to look for in a home, especially since I think more people are looking to stay long-term nowadays. I love the great room, one-story floorplans...and I'm not even 50 yet! :)
