It seems the new homes listed for sale in Wake County has also declined - not sure of statistics; just seems that way.(something I should check out today). I agree that builders are much less likely to build spec homes whether it's Johnston County NC or Wake County or Durham County but the ability to build for a specific buyer probably has everyone happy at completion because of more customized features!
Nellie - this is a continuing series! New home inventory is down across the Triangle, in most areas significantly down.
Durham County - New home listings are down 19%.
Wake County - New home listings are down 36%.
